Early March may see temperatures in the 50s, but as you approach Memorial Day weekend, it’s not uncommon to see conditions getting up to 80 degrees. you will likely be safe bringing shorts and short-sleeved shirts during this season, but it’s also worth it to pack a few extra layers just in case.

In the summer, temperatures tend to stay anywhere between 65 and 90 degrees. This season is ideal for breaking out your flip flops, swimsuits, and bringing the family, although you might be surprised to hear that it gets chilly in the mornings and evenings. Additionally, summer tends to bring the highest chances of rain, especially in August. This rain tends to fall as an afternoon shower that brings in a cooler evening.

If you’re visiting in the fall, you can expect temperatures to begin in the 80s and finish as low as the 50s. It’s much like the springtime, only in reverse! Depending on which month you’re planning to visit, you could be packing short sleeves or you could be going for the jeans instead. Either way, you’re likely safe leaving your umbrella at home.

Last but certainly not least, we come to the winter season. While this time of year is certainly the coldest season that Carolina Beach experiences, it’s nowhere near cold enough to cause freezing temperatures or snow.
